In Case You Missed It…
Leveraging AI | Tech Tips
This weeks tips are for everyone—If you don’t live under a rock you probably know that AI has become a massive tool in everyone’s daily life whether it be at work or for personal use a lot of people are using AI to enhance there day to day lives. Here are 5 tips to utilize AI to its fullest extent.
Master Prompting
Be specific and conversational—like talking a smart (but literal) friend
-Start with clear context: Instead of “meal ideas”, try “Suggest 3 quick, easy winter dinners using the following ingredients, potatoes, ground beef, canned soup in under 30 minutes.”
-Use role-playing: “Act as my personal productivity coach and create a focused 1 hour morning routine for someone who works from home.”
-Add constraints: “Write me a short essay about the American Civil War, make sure it is at least 5 paragraphs long with 6 sentences each, please provide detail and write at a 12th grade level.”
-Pro tip: iterate! If the first response isn’t to your liking or is just off, reply with “Make it shorter/more detailed/funnier” for quick refinements
Automate Simple Daily Tasks
Turn AI into your personal assistant.
-Meal/grocery planning: “Create a weekly meal plan for 2 adults + 1 kid, under $100, with shopping list—include easy prep & recommended grocery stores”
-Email/plan summaries: “Summarize my inbox from the last 24 hours and highlight urgent items.” (Gemini’s google integration is great for this)
Avoid Common Pitfalls & Spot Hallucinations
-Ask for sources: Add “with reliable references and source links” to prompts for research.”
-Cross-verify: If it’s important (like health or finance), confirm with a second AI and a quick google search
-Fun safeguard: “Explain like i’m 5” for complex topics to catch weirdness fast
Boost Accuracy with Chain-of-Thought & Cross-Checking
Advanced reasoning models make AI “think step-by-step” for tougher questions, reducing errors
-Add to prompts: “Think step-by-step before answering” or use built-in modes
-Cross-check across models: Get an answer from ChatGPT, then paste it in Grok or Claude with “Critique this for accuracy and suggest improvements.”
-For facts/research: Always add “include sources or reasoning” to catch hallucinations faster
Leverage Model Strengths by Diversifying Your AI ToolKit
In 2026, no single AI rules everything—specialization wins! Switch based on the task for better results
-Use Gemini for anything Google-related: Ask it to “Summarize my Gmail inbox and pull key events from Google Calendar” or “Analyze this photo from Google photos and suggest edits”—it's personal intelligence features connect your apps seamlessly
-Pick Claude for writing, editing, or docs
-Stick with ChatGPT or Grok for creative brainstorming or quick/fun ideas
